Jenny Stein

Jenny has been involved in community theatre, off and on, since she was 9. As a teenager she appeared on stage in six productions by the Really Authentic Gilbert & Sullivan Society in Dunedin, and while at university she helped out with props and costumes during Musical Theatre Dunedin productions of Cats and Phantom of the Opera, and helped run lights for Taieri Muscial Society’s production of Honk

While living in rural Tasmania she wrote and directed a small community Christmas musical play (in verse) inspired by the history of the town. While living in Japan she performed and did set painting for the annual Niigata Charity Musical.

Jenny joined Upper Hutt Musical Theatre after moving to the region in 2021. She helped with props for Addams Family, managed props for Moana Jnr, and is now doing props and set design for Seussical Jnr.
