Rachel became a part of Upper Hutt Musical Theatre (UHMT) in 2019 when she joined the cast of 55 Musicals: Abridged. It was the first show she had been involved in since high school. Rachel originally fell in love with musical theatre after performing as the young Cosette and Eponine in Palmerston Norths showing of Les Miserables back in 2001. When she joined our theatre it quickly became apparent that she had a passion for performing and a willingness to help with other projects around the theatre as well.
Straight after 55 Musicals she scored a role in Upper Hutt Musical Theatre’s next show I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change! Showing once again her outstanding ability for performing on stage.
She was quick to jump in to help the UHMT Committee when we were a member down and she has become our go to publicity person running our Facebook page and designing our advertising material for Once Upon A Time.
Rachel has become an invaluable member of the team and we are all looking forward to working with her throughout the next few years.
