Upper Hutt Musical Theatre aim to produce two shows per year, ranging from large scale musicals (Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oliver) to compilation shows and children’s pantomimes.
Submissions from directors wanting to direct future shows are always welcome. We are open to any ideas but are looking for productions that will generate excitement and directors who have a clear vision and can demonstrate how they will realise their vision while encouraging participation and having fun!
If you would like to direct but are not sure which production you would like to do we are only too happy to help you decide on the right show. The committee actively supports all aspects of each show, from production management to publicity and will be as committed to the success of each show as its director is.
If you lack directing experience we can pair you up with an experienced director and a production team leader to assist you in your directing debut.
